Is tempered glass required for gym mirrors?

Most commercial specifications in North America, the UK, the EU and Australia require either tempered glass or a rated safety backing, and many require both. We supply 6 mm tempered with CAT II backing as standard and issue the tempering certificate with the shipment.

How are the panels mounted?

Either a bottom J-channel with top retaining clips, or a continuous top and bottom aluminium channel for a fully framed run. Both allow the panel to move with temperature. Channel is supplied cut to the run length with a numbered layout drawing.

What is the maximum wall run you can supply?

There is no practical limit on run length; we cut a panel schedule to the wall dimension with a standard 3 mm joint. Individual panels are capped at 1220 x 1830 mm for handling reasons, which is also the size two installers can safely lift.
