What is in this range

Mirrorwright builds mirror-faced clocks in three families: oversized mirror wall clocks on silent sweep quartz movements, decorative crystal and Venetian clock faces that cross over from our glam mirror range, and LED digital mirror clocks whose display reads through the mirror coating. All of them are mirror products first and clocks second, which is why they are made on the same lines as our wall mirrors rather than bought in from a clock factory.

Why the movement matters once the dial passes 800 mm

A stepping quartz movement — the kind that ticks once per second — is audible across a quiet room at this dial size, and in hotel and bedroom positions that generates returns. Silent sweep is therefore standard across the MC and DC series rather than an upgrade line on the quotation. If you are comparing our pricing against an oversized clock quoted with a stepping movement, that is usually where the difference sits.

Mirror face finishes and how the indices are chosen

The tint on a mirror clock is in the glass, not a coating on top of it, so the index and hand colour has to be chosen against the face rather than against the room. Smoke-tinted faces take warm metals — MC-01 is a smoke face with gold Roman numerals — while a plain silver face like MC-02 needs a dark index to hold contrast, in that case black bar indices and black aluminium hands. MC-03 is bronze-tinted with applied dot indices. Champagne gold appears on the round digital model, LD-02.

The digital models are mirrors when they are off

LD-01 and LD-02 put the LED digits behind the mirror coating, so a powered-down clock is a plain mirror with no visible display window or bezel. Brightness steps down to a night level that will not light a darkened room, which is the behaviour hotel operators ask for first. LD-02 runs on USB-C with battery time retention, so the display does not have to be reset after a power interruption or a room turnover.

Weight and wall preparation

The 800 mm and 1000 mm MC clocks are around 7 kg, which is heavier than the hardware supplied with most decor clocks will hold in plasterboard. MC-03 ships with heavy-duty rated fixings and a drilling template for that reason. Tell us the wall substrate at quotation stage — masonry, plasterboard with or without noggins, or a tiled surface — and we will confirm the fixing specification for the position rather than leaving it to the installer.

Packing

A mirror clock is a glass face with a mass concentrated at the centre, which is a harder parcel problem than a flat mirror of the same diameter. We pack this category to ISTA 3A specification, and where a programme is going into parcel-carrier fulfilment rather than pallet freight we can build and commission a test on the finished pack before the main run.

OEM and private label

Dial layout, index style and material, hand profile, face tint and branding on the dial or the back plate are all open on this category, as is retail carton artwork. Stock models start at one piece; a custom dial or applied branding carries its own minimum, which we quote per project once the artwork is fixed. Custom diameters outside the standard sizes are cut to drawing.

Ordering

Every model in this category can be ordered singly for sampling, and mixed with mirrors from other categories on the same pallet or container. Quote requests are fastest to answer if they carry the model code, the quantity per model, the destination port or door address, and whether the programme needs retail packaging or bulk export cartons.
